July 6, 2023

For 100 years, Kosair for Kids has served the children of Kentucky and Southern Indiana by providing care, joy, and hope. Children with blindness and vision loss have been the beneficiary of these blessings since 1999. This year, Kosair for Kids has generously blessed VIPS with an amazing $150,000 grant in support of early intervention and our Kids Town Preschool programs. Since 1999, the life-changing gifts from Kosair for Kids through the support of VIPS now total $3,624,010. We are so very grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Kosair for Kids in their essential work of enhancing the health and well-being of children in our community. We would like to say thank you to Kosair for Kids for awarding VIPS with this incredible gift!

This is Harvey! He has been crushing his goals lately! His mom, Daisy, has been working on encouraging him to sit independently while using his vision in his lower field. As you can see in the picture, he is pushing his switch to activate his transformer car, which is his favorite toy! This is no small feat for him, as reaching and looking at the same time is challenging. Daisy was so pleased at how well he was able to not only use his vision, but activate his core muscles to remain in a sitting position. We are so proud of Harvey!
