VIPS Receives Grant from MAC Construction and MSD

May 8, 2026

Diane Nelson, Justine Aycock, and MAC Construction staff members pose for a photo with a giant check for $29,100.

Since 1980, MAC Construction has grown from a start-up excavation company into one of the most trusted names in civil construction by continually evolving to meet the needs of its customers and community.

That commitment to building stronger communities extends far beyond construction projects. Through the support of MAC Construction & Excavating and the Louisville MSD Community Benefits Program, VIPS received a $29,100 investment to support our Early Childhood Intervention Program.

This funding helps provide qualified, vision-specific teachers to children and families throughout Jefferson County, bringing support directly into the home. By partnering alongside parents, VIPS helps children who are blind or have low vision build the foundational skills and confidence needed to reach their highest potential.

Thank you, MAC Construction & Excavating, for your incredible generosity, and thank you, MSD Community Benefits, for making this possible.

Dallas’s mom really wanted him to be able to play independently. During a recent visit, we explored several switch options that would activate a toy. After a few attempts, he got the hang of it and was able to activate the switch on his own! The smile says it all! Way to go Dallas! We are so proud of you!
