Republic Bank Ribbon Cutting in Kids Town

February 25, 2026

Yesterday, Republic Bank dedicated its latest banking center in Louisville, and it’s in Kids Town! The banking center has play money and adaptive learning tools so our preschoolers can learn math and money skills.

The highlight of the day came from one of our parents, Lauren, who shared what it was like for VIPS to be there for her twins, both in her family’s home and in our preschool. Lauren talked about the experience of Paige Maynard, Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) come into their home. “She (Paige) not only taught the girls how to use their functional vision, but she taught us how to work with the girls,” Lauren said.

Haven and Harlow, Lauren’s daughters, both attend preschool at VIPS, and the experience has been meaningful to their family. Lauren said, “I love this place so much that when I heard that there was a classroom assistant job open? Absolutely. Sign me up!” And we gladly did.

We are forever thankful for companies like Republic Bank. They help us the tools and resources that prepare our kids to move on to kindergarten and more.

Dallas’s mom really wanted him to be able to play independently. During a recent visit, we explored several switch options that would activate a toy. After a few attempts, he got the hang of it and was able to activate the switch on his own! The smile says it all! Way to go Dallas! We are so proud of you!
