The 8th Annual Dr Mark Lynn & Associates Stampede for VIPS, a 5K run/walk, will be held Saturday, at 10:30 AM on August 28, 2010 at Churchill Downs. In the short history of the Stampede, this event has not only raised nearly $250,000 for VIPS, but it has also raised awareness of the abilities of those who are blind or visually impaired. The Stampede is the only local 5K event to include a visually impaired/blind awards division. International elite blind runners come to Louisville specifically to compete for cash prizes provided by Gold Level Sponsors.
