Visually Impaired Preschool Services Announces New Executive Director
Nov. 3, 2008 VIPS welcomed Diane Nelson as our new Executive Director. Diane has been with the Buddeke Co. for 30 years and is now coming to VIPS to share her knowledge of business and non-profit leadership.
Diane says, I am honored to have been entrusted with this postion and realize that Sharon will not be an easy person to follow. I promise to work extremely hard to advance the mission of VIPS, the babies, and their dedicated families and faculty...I look forward to meeting everyone in the future.

Diane Nelson's Biography
For the past 20 years, Diane has served as Vice President of Administration and Finance with the Buddeke Company. She earned her BA in business administration and her MBA (2004) from the University of Louisville. Diane has been recognized repeatedly as an emerging leader in our community. Diane has an extensive record of volunteering in Louisville. She has served on committees to raise funds and organize events for the City of Louisville, Easter Seals, Dare to Care, Louisville Zoo, Kosair Children's Hospital, American Red Cross, Kentucky Derby Festival and many, many other worthy organizations. In 2002, Diane founded the Family Tree Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to charitable giving. Her work with the Foundation spurred her interest to take her skills into the nonprofit arena where her efforts will have more direct impact on those in need of assistance.
